| Aviation Safety and Aircraft Security
Air safety on private aircraft involves careful attention to security risks on the ground, passenger screening, crew training/screening, baggage handling, and destination evaluations. Securaccess, Inc. assists aircraft owners, corporate security directors, and insurance carriers in creating, evaluating and updating private aviation security plans.
Passenger and Crew Safety Measures
Private aircraft traveling into the United States from international destinations are now subject to greater levels of security reporting required by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Our passenger and crew safety services for international or domestic flights include:
- Baggage and cargo control
- Crew background checks
- Drug screening of crew members and/or aircraft facilities
- Piracy protective measures
- Private passenger screening
- Weapons training for private aircraft crew
- K-9 sweeps for aircraft
We can assist crew members in complying with passenger identification requirements for customs agents or other aviation officials.
Aviation Security and Physical Aircraft Safety at High-Risk Destinations
Some high risk locations, including but not limited to destinations in Central America, South America, or Mexico, require enhanced levels of aircraft security. Securaccess understands the need to provide physical protection for aircraft safety while a private aircraft is on the ground in certain high-risk locations. Among the enhanced services provide in high-risk areas is the posting of security guards at landing destinations, to prevent innocent or intentional tampering with the aircraft or hatch covers by vagrants or passengers, while the aircraft is on the ground.
Securaccess also conducts site surveys for new destinations to facilitate access to emergency facilities such as hospitals, clinics and local law enforcement agencies. Our emergency preparedness plans include emergency evacuation procedures, as well as the securing of Fixed Base Operations (FBO) and hangar operations.
Anti-Drug Aircraft Screening
The undetected presence of drugs in a private aircraft, when detected by customs officials, can expose a private aircraft to potential seizure. This avoidable situation results in embarrassment, inconvenience, and unnecessary expense for the aircraft owner.
Securaccess conducts canine-based sweeps of private aircraft to identify the presence of drugs or drug residue. These actions are critical for leased aircraft or aircraft transporting frequent guests.
Our anti-drug screening techniques include an extensive paper trail to document your security measures. These proactive aviation safety and aircraft security steps are particularly important after high risk flights.
IRS Tax Compliance
The Internal Revenue Services (IRS) now requires an independent security assessment if a private citizen or corporate taxpayer deducts security services from their federal corporate tax returns. Securaccess, Inc. can provide you with IRS-compliant security audits and assessments for yachts, private aircraft, marine safety, or aviation security matters.
